We chose this location being somewhat close to Somawathiya National Park. Unfortunately, the National Park is not open to the public so instead we visited Somawathiya Chaitya. A great traditional breakfast is included and our hosts went above and beyond to help us in any way they could. BTW - their English is not good but adequate with the assistance of translation apps.

Our host Pradeep and his family were excellent hosts. Pradeep especially was very kind and attentive to our needs. He gave us very good advice about visiting Polonnaruwa and brought us rental bicycles, which were the perfect way to see the ancient city. It would be difficult to find an accommodation any closer to the city and, if you are traveling on a budget, this spot provides an outstanding value for the price. Pradeep’s wife cooked us some excellent meals and we found the place to be very well kept. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
