This has been the best Homestay I had in Sri Lanka so far. The level of hospitality, kindness and overall nice atmosphere, is unmatched. The location is perfect - very close to the center and beach, but hidden enough for you to feel comfortable. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. The breakfast with fresh fruit was also really good. The owners however are the main reason this place is so amazing - humble, kind, true and helpful. I only wish I stayed longer. Thank you very much!

This is a quiet place on the south coast near the Rekawa Turtle Sanctuary. Lovely house close to bush, lagoon and turtle beach. Great breakfast. Don is an amazing host who offers information about the area and will also drive you to destinations. Very thoughtful person. Highlights were the Turtle watch, safe rock pool to swim and the ancient Buddhist Mulkirigala Rock Temple. Amazing! Thank you Don and Kanthi.

Absolutely amazing experience with Nehansa Resort. The owners shown us very special attention, they took us from the bus stop, organised a special little tour for us to see the sunset and birds, gave us great recommendations what to do around, helped with the laundry very quickly:) When we came at the reception they welcomed us with fresh coconut juice, so I can definitely say that their service is of the highest quality. We took safari tour with them, only the best recommendations as well. The room was very clean and cosy, it had AC and all the other things needed. The area around is beautiful, there is a cosy garden around the room. At the resort they also suggest a lot or food options for decent prices. Whenever I’m back to area,I will come here.

The best hotel on our journey. Beautiful rooms, nice food and excellent and really helpful staff. Rooms were very clean, and it all smelled so good and fresh. 10/10

Situated 2.9 km from Tissa Wewa, New Vilard offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The Host an his family were super nice and welcomed us with tea and coffee. The room had a well working AC, hot water and a mosquito net. The included breakfast was good and they even habe us a lunchpaket when we had to leave at 5 am in the morning for the safari. The Host offers a safari himself. In the evening they cooked very much and delicious food on our request. If you are planning to go on safari in the Yala Nationalpark, i would definitely recommend to stay here.

Set in Tangalle, a few steps from Tangalle Beach, Cinnabar Resort offers accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and free bikes. The photos of the premises aren't showing how great this place is. The pool with the trees and flowers around, the rooms are close to the pool and restaurant but you still get privacy. The staff is really kind. The relaxing music was cherry on top. I stayed in the beach cabin, book it if you can.
