The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. The Golden Crown Hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip through Sri Lanka including Colombo, the north, and other regions. The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

Located in a lush green and serene environment, Hotel Heladiv is located 6 km away from the SLAF Anuradhapura Airport. Free WiFi access is available. This hotel was outstanding! Impeccably clean, with delicious food and incredibly kind staff. They went above and beyond to solve a problem we had, arranging everything perfectly for the next day. Super organized and attentive. Highly recommended for an exceptional stay! Dinner was excellent, with an exceptional rice & curry and delicious kottu (a local specialty).

A tranquil retreat perched on hills, Heritance Kandalama offers panoramic views of the Sigiriya Rocks. It's a fascinating building wonderfully situated right in the heart of the jungle, with plants growing over it. Marvellous views over the nearby lake, just slightly spoiled by the fact that a drought had left it nearly empty. Service was superb with tremendous attention to detail. I enjoyed the meals, both the buffet breakfast and dinner, each of which provided a very wide choice. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A memorable place to stay.

Situated in Sigiriya, 17 km from Sigiriya Rock, Amba Yaalu - Thema Collection "The first women-led hotel in Sri Lanka" features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a... We had an amazing two night stay here at the end of our time in Sri Lanka. The food was incredible, especially the fish salad:). They hooked us up with a tuktuk driver to get us to Sigiriya Rock in the morning, then a Naturalist for an afternoon park tour to see elephants. The safari tour was incredible value and we saw lots and lots of elephants. We enjoyed a morning at the spa as our treat to ourselves before heading off to Kandy then the airport. It also was amazing and we walked out of there feeling like jello. The facilities are brand new, gorgeous, clean and well thought out. The location overlooking the lake in the private mango grove is very peaceful. The staff are helpful and laid back. I knew coming to Sri Lanka that there is a different dynamic vs Canada when it comes to women, and I certainly didn’t come with any intention of imposing my Canadian values here. However, being at this women managed and staffed hotel was a nice change during the trip where I felt like I could speak up and answer questions ahead of my partner without them looking to him for confirmation. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

This charming hostel is run by the kindest couple you can imagine. The mother prepares delicious meals in her cozy restaurant, and the father took us on one of the most beautiful tours we’ve ever done – full of stunning views and authentic local experiences. Everything here is filled with heart and soul. Their warmth and genuine hospitality turned our stay into something truly special. It’s rare to find such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place with personality, comfort, and unforgettable people – this is it. Highly recommended from the bottom of my heart!

Set in Sigiriya, 9.2 km from Pidurangala Rock, Tropicara Resort offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. That is an extremely cute place! Rooms are clean, hot water pressure is perfect. They have a really clean swimming pool and even warm, that was wonderful after all day road. Humidity level in room is good, there isn't any smell and I could dry all my clothes. Also they have a restaurant, I ate only breakfast, but it was good and tasty. Definitely recommended to stay here.

Every corner sparkled, creating a relaxing and hygienic environment throughout our stay. The food served was consistently fresh and flavorful. But the real showstoppers were the stunning pool and breathtaking views. The pool itself was a haven of tranquility, inviting us to unwind and soak in the sun. And the surrounding scenery was simply awe-inspiring. We spent hours marveling at the picturesque landscapes, capturing the beauty in photos and etching the memories deep within our hearts. The gym was also a real bonus for a morning workout and stretch.

Great home stay in a quiet area away from the noisier tourist area. We had our own itinerary and driver so we did not need assistance, but it was clear our host was happy to help and could arrange activities if needed. The views from the outdoor common area were fantastic. And the meals provided by the host’s wife were some of the best we had in Sri Lanka
