We had a fabulously gorgeous dinner at Hotel Husafell, and nice cocktail for happy hour. Dinner was memorable and the scenery is gorgeous. Stayed just one night but had a great stay.

This family-owned B&B is located in Bíldudalur village in Iceland’s West Fjords region. It offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access and mountain or fjord views. The guesthouse is in a pleasant harbour side location. It has been tastefully furnished and is a good blend of contemporary and traditional. There are nice areas for relaxing, fresh coffee on tap and a small kitchen area if you want to 'do it yourself'. There is however a nice, reasonably priced restaurant next door. Toilets and showers are modern and clean with a good selection of toiletries. Our room had a lovely view over the harbour. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice including home made cakes which were different on the two days we stayed.

Located just 1.7 km from Langisandur Beach, Teigur Guesthouse offers accommodation in Akranes with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Comfortable room and well equipped kitchen. The host very kind and let us used the washer and dryer. The best part was we saw northern lights at the light house near the guest house.

Hotel Varmaland features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Varmaland. The hotel provides both free WiFi and free private parking. The hotel is new (I think it opened somewhere in 2022), so everything inside it is new. Facilities are okay. Beds are comfy, and the room is of comfortable size. We had extra chairs, kettle, tea, coffee & coffee maker, cups, and glasses. Also, it had a small fridge. The bathroom had a hairdryer and body gel, conditioner, shampoo, and hand soap.

One of the better hotels we encountered in iceland that had a great value for money. Great location, kind staff and very good breakfast. Nice views from the room.
