Breakfast was excellent.

Boasting a shared lounge, a terrace as well as a bar, Grand Hotel D'Europe is set in the centre of Puducherry, less than 1 km from Promenade Beach. A lovely stylish and clean hotel in a great area of Pondicherry. Central to everything with very helpful staff. I'd made a mistake and booked one day later than we intended to, and they made the update to the correct date very smoothly on arrival. Staff very helpful with everything else we've needed. A great restaurant with a very good variety on the menu. Pool is cool and inviting, air conditioning works well, fan in the room as well. Great facilities overall. We extended our stay as we were happy and comfortable at this hotel.

Great location on quiet street on north side of French Quarter, just a block or two to beach and car free promenade. Owner and family were so kind and friendly, with delicious breakfasts and help arranging good onward transport. We were upgraded to larger suite room which was nice and spacious, quiet, cool, and comfortable.
