The host is extremely friendly and helpful. The location in the town is good. Within 5 minutes you are on the plaza. The room was spacious. The bathroom was a little bit small, but perfectly fine. And everything was very clean. Breakfast was good and you could have it whenever you wanted. I really recommend this place! Note, the host doesn't speak English, but everything worked out fine with the help of Google Translate.

Cosmos Tatacoa Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Villavieja. We intended to stay at the Cosmos Tatacoa for two nights just to visit the desert, but ended up staying one more, because there is lots do and we felt right at home. The hotel is located on the way to the desert, so it's remote and quiet, but still just a few minutes walk into the town for the restaurants and other amenities. It has a beautiful clean pool, perfect to cool down after an activity in the sun. We've also enjoyed many different options for breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to accomodate us, arranging an incredible tour to the desert with Schneider as well as a relaxing boat ride on the river, washing all our dirty clothes in no time (even if it's not advertised) and making sure we will get to our next destination by getting us the bus tickets and calling a taxi. Our driver, Michael Triviño, told us a lot about the region, the people and Colombia in general (also in English if desired), so if you get the chance, ask at the reception for Maik (or through booking.com if you need a Taxi from Neiva). All in all, we've had a wonderful stay in Villavieja, thanks to the Cosmos Tatacoa.

Situated in San Agustín, Monasterio San Agustín, Colombia offers 4-star accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar. We had a wonderful time! The facilities are great and it's a beautiful hotel. Mostly it is the friendly staff, Carlos greeted us and attended to every need during our stay. Dievir, the waiter for two events was great as was Raul, or waiter on the last night. The breakfasts were exception, the restaurant was charming, the food was very good, but again, it was the service that made this place stand out. We will be back.
