Senora Matilda takes care of you like she is your mother! It was really such a relaxing stay because of her. She would always greet me with a lemonade and a smile. Her breakfast was delicious and so generous, you will not go hungry when staying there, haha! The room was clean and cozy, I found the bed to be super comfortable and slept really really well. I would love to stay there again.

With garden views, Payande - Tatacoa is situated in Villavieja and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Absolutely fantastic property but you need to have the right expectations. The water and electricity are scarce. The accomodation is rustic and has open holes close to the roof so creepy crawlies can be encountered and obviously sound proofing is not the best. But the location is incredible, very close to the "red zone" of Tatacoa and the observatories. Our cottages were spotless and the hotel is well maintained and secure. The food was delicious and we enjoyed hanging out in the open restaurant having a few beers at night. The value for money was excellent and we would definitely visit again.
