Perfect location for digital detox: no TV, no A/C, but the nature sounds and cooling canopy provide for better views, sounds and breeze. Big room with desk, small sitting area and comfortable bed. The balcony with nice view over the pond is beautiful for relaxing at night. . Everything is very clean. Good food at the restaurant and also the Café Engine. Very nice staff. I have been here several times and will come again. After arrival or before departure at the airport I much prefer Veyangoda instead of the more touristy Negombo.

Short trip from airport after efficient pick-up. Room clean quiet and good aircon. Very friendly Owner will give you a free SIM and load a package at official rate. There is a small pool and a free breakfast even though not advertised. Terin will give good advice without the follow-up hard sell. PS you can pick up Kandy train at nearby Veyangoda

The staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet. We were in the property for 5 hours only for a quick stop over and they looked after us so well; cold water on arrival and breakfast in the morning (complimentary!). They also offers drivers for your stay in Sri Lanka.

The location is excellent, very close to the airport. The hotel looks modern, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning and the fan both worked well, and the bathroom was very convenient. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended if you need to spend a night near the airport.

The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent—local, homemade, and super generous. The staff is actually a lovely family who genuinely care about their guests. They can help you to organise a taxi to the airport for just $1–2 and make sure you got there on time. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy, caring place to stay! If this is your last night or the first one and you need a safe and comfortable place with all the facilities that's the place for you.

I received a very warm welcome. Staff were polite and nothing was too much trouble they assisted me to have a Dr's consultation and full body massage which was excellent. I swam in the lovely, clean pool, watched the sea and had a fantastic yoga session. The food was excellent and of a very high standard 5 star service. I was able to book a taxi and go shopping and was dropped at the airport. I would recommend this hotel with no reservation and would book it again.

Everything was perfect. Safety and cleanlinessnis what I value the most and they exceeded it, above and beyond. Very relaxing atmosphere in the rooms and eventhough we are near the road, there is no noise disturbance. They are the most generous and humble hosts I've ever met. I arrived at Astig Villa after what turned into a long journey from Arugam Bay – a ride that should have taken 4.5 hours stretched to 9.5, and by the time I arrived it was already night. The staff welcomed me so warmly and even prepared dinner for me, which was such a relief after a difficult day of travel. I had been travelling around Sri Lanka for two weeks, and staying here was exactly what I needed – a chance to relax by the beautiful pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff looked after me so well, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the owner was always available if I needed anything. He even organised a tuk tuk to take me into town, which was especially helpful in an area I wasn’t yet familiar with. What makes Astig Villa so special is the personal touch – it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I’d especially recommend it to anyone flying into Sri Lanka late at night, as it’s very close to the airport, and the nearby lagoon is a beautiful spot to watch the fishermen go by. Whether you’re starting or ending your Sri Lankan journey, this is the perfect place to stay.
