Had dinner at Kandy Calm Residence, and it was a fantastic experience. A proper home-cooked Sri Lankan meal with warm hospitality. The place is cozy and inviting, and the hosts incredibly welcoming. They took the time to explain each dish, where the ingredients come from, and how everything is made. You can tell they truly care about what they do. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish had the perfect balance of spices and home-style cooking, making the meal unforgettable. What made the dinner even more special was the personal touch, with thoughtful presentation and warm conversations with the hosts. It was more than just a meal; it was a true taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. The accomodation is spacious, well appointed, clean and well presented. We had a very pleasant stay at Simpson’s. As usual in Sri Lanka the kindness of the staff is beyond anything. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The infinity pool is breathtaking. We also did one of the hikes that they offered in the morning and learned about the estate. The food does not look like the one advertised but it’s still good. This hotel has by far the fastest WiFi in all of the island. It’s great value for the price!

Really friendly hosts who made us very welcome from the first minute. It was super clean and comfortable. We liked the location a lot as it was calm and quiet.
