We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

Before arriving, i loved the fact that they were so responsive with our messages. The property even texted us about our arrival time since we got lost and only arrived past 9pm. The property itself is very well maintained. The room was spacious for my 4yo to roam around and play. They also had a lounge where they had hanko, coloured pens, crayons and even water colours. My 4yo loved going there to pass the time. We were also given complimentary yukata to wear around town. It was a first experience wearing one for my family. Definitely go for their breakfast options. They served traditional Japanese breakfast in a private room. And the menu was never a repeat.

Everything is perfect. The staff are very kind and sincerely helpful. Location just 5mins walk from Yudanaka station. You can take the bus to Snow Monkey park and Shiga Kogen Ski resort from there. Breakfast and Dinner are very good choices and delicious. Indoor/ Outdoor Onsen are so good. Love it so much.

Staff was very friendly, they offered us a bus ride to the snow monkey park. Room was spatious, clean and nice designed. However we are not used to sleep on pillows filled with rice, so this was a bit challenging :) hot tub and sauna were perfect after the long day of walking, the hotel is close to the train station even if you have to walk. And I ate the most delicious vegetarian burger ever. 👌🏼🤍

Fantastic place to stay! The Japanese room was comfortable, great views, Kaiseki dinner was excellent. Location was great, walkable to train station , convenience store and Shibu Onsen. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Shuttle to train and snow monkey park was included.

Return to this same resort at Myoko after 2 years. What I like : 1. Near to several ski resorts 2. Provides transport to train station, to ski resorts, to dinner place 3. Onsen 4. Big Japanese room for 2 person (can fit 4) 5. Simple breakfast (new owners setting up). Kind of miss the Japanese type breakfast two year ago. 6. Can do dinner at resort 7. Nice drying and locker room for snow gears. 8. Quiet place for good night rest. 9. Discount lift tickets to Alpen Blick Ski resort that is few minutes away. New owners should run in the resort well this season and improve on the next season.
