The hotel's owners were incredibly friendly, kind and generous (they even gave my daughter a birthday present). The tent was warm and very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. Everything was clean and well looked after.

Great accomodation, welcoming and helpful staff, we enjoyed the morning view of the sheep wandering amongst the cottages. We could park our car right outside the cottage so that was very convenient. It was warm and cosy with enough hot water for three people. There was WiFi in the room as well as a kettle and cups. Great for the price.

Excellent restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. Reindeer carpaccio was superb as was the rest we ordered. Breakfast was ample and varied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean. Loved the hot tub!

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

Super friendly staff. They give you a knock on the door if northern lights show up. We would have missed them otherwise. We also got some tips for nice spots were not all the tourists go. Super comfy beds. Bathroom is a bid small but for us not an issue. I would definetly recommend everyone to stay there. Ask for room 16 to get amazing sunrise view out of your bed!
