Amazing stay! Brilliant location, really close to main square but zero noise. Comfortable, clean rooms with great hot shower and aircon. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice!

The hotel is located only about 10 minutes walk from the really touristy party of Fira. However, as the hotel does not have sunset views it is much, much cheaper than some other hotels in Fira. The room was rather dated, but in an endearing way so it was not a problem. The staff at reception were helpful and the wi-fi worked fine. There was a swimming pool there, though I did not personally use it. To make up for not seeing the sunset, I saw a glorious sunrise from my hotel balcony instead. Aviation enthusiasts will enjoy distant views of landings and take-offs at Santorini Airport.

I wasn't certain which area of the island would be the best place to stay, but after considerable research, I settled on Fira because it offered more diversity with its amazing cliff views, sunsets, shops, restaurants, and bars. The location was great for easy access to other regions too such as the wineries. Absolutely loved the wine tasting experience at Venetsanos winery. The view from the cliff edge was spectacular and their wines were out of this world.

Beautiful vistas and elevated over Caldera with stunning sunsets and great views. Avoid the town during the day from 11.00am to 5.00pm to miss the crowds due to the cruise ships swamping the place.
I hired a scooter for two days at 40 euros but don't settle for first offer shop around as it made a 30 euro saving and haggle a bit to get a deal.

Cute town with lots of paths to explore, shops to go in, and restaurants to enjoy. Views were incredible and sunsets a must. Trip to the crater was fun. Hot springs aren't hot. Beaches were difficult to walk on. Would have liked to spend more time in Oia. Buses are comfortable but crowded.

We had a blast exploring the entire island.
We had a blast exploring the entire island. We came during their winter when temperatures were 55-59 F, and for the first few days, had little sunshine and lots of wind. We definitely needed our warm jackets, and bought gloves and a hat. However, the last few days were sunny and delightful. Best thing was, there were no crowds, anywhere, in January. We are photographers, and delighted in the photos everyone comes to Santorini to get, without having to work around the crowds. We rented a small Fiat Panda from Sixt, and it took us up the switchbacks to Ancient Thera, down to Akrotiri to the ruins, up to Oia and around the island to multiple small towns to explore and photograph. We found some "local" restaurants that were open and filled, and sampled wonderful Greek food. It was a wonderful time, and we would come again in January to avoid the crowds!

Santorini is such a wonderful island.
Santorini is such a wonderful island. And Fira is such a great place to stay given that it is centrally located between Akrotiri and Oia, and not too far from the airport. Weather was fantastic for November. We were only a few blocks from the bus station which has buses running to all parts of the island fairly frequently (helps to avoid taxis which tend to charge a bit much). The sunsets from both Fira and Oia were magical, as are the walks along the charming streets of both towns.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Fira and certainly one of the best options value for money-wise. The rooms are clean, modern and well-maintained. If you can ask for a room when making a booking, try to get room 4 - it has an excellent view of the sea. The location is a bit tucked back from the hustle and bustle of Santorini but only 3 minutes from everything you need or want to see. The pool is big, deep and amazing and very well maintained - perfect for relaxation. The owners/operators are kind, knowledgeable and very helpful.
I don’t know where to start.. everything was so great throughout our stay! Check-in and out were easy and fast. Dora is such an amazing and thoughtful host with quick response all the time. We received wines upon arrival, the room performs more than our expectation, great jacuzzi with ocean view, fabulous breakfast on the balcony… you can experience so much privacy comparing with other hotels. The restaurant upstairs is perfect for a nice dinner with stunning sunset in Fira. This suite makes our stay in Santorini super memorable!!
Beautiful hotel in the center or Fira. It doesn’t have any view on the caldera. But what it lacks with the view is has very fair prices and amazing cistomer service. All the personnel of the hotel is very helpful and friendly. The people at the reception, the bartender at breakfast and the lobby guys. Everybody was very attentive and always assisting with a big smile on their face. All this care really makes the difference. We’ve been to other hotels in Santorini, but so far this was the best one. Really recommended :)
Nautilus Dome is situated near the center of Fira. Hotel is beautiful, and you can watch the sunrise and the sea from there. Hosts arranged the ride from the Santorini port to the hotel for us and every day they drove us to the center of Fira. They are kind, nice and they want to know what you will have for the breakfast so that they can prepare and deliver it to your room. :) Hotel has a pool and chairs if you want to rest and chill. We were staying only for 3 nights there but we enjoyed every minute.
We loved this hotel. The staff has a great sense of humor, very welcoming and arranged our transfers very well. They took time to advice us what to do on Santorini. Too much for our 3 days :-)! The family room was very large and well equipped. Pool area just great. It's a nice walk uphill through the narrow streets of Fira to the city centre, appr 15 minutes. A minimarket (emphasis on 'mini') at 100m is convenient for water/bread/beer. We will definitely return at Alizea to follow up their advices!
From the beginning to the end of our stay, everything was fine. Every day we had towels changed and the room cleaned.
Special thanks to Edmund.
He was very nice and helpful. Our breakfast was great. We were full.
The center of Fira and bus station were located nearby. Cca 15-20 minute from hotel on foot.
The hotel’s location is in the beautiful street of Fira.
We will definitely come back and recommend the hotel to everyone who wants to visit Santorini.
Thanks for everything. 🤍
Excellent location in Fira - a short leap from everything you could possibly need. The hospitality was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome by the team. The property itself is beautiful and quiet with a great pool and spaces to relax - the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and well laid out with everything you might need. Most of all, we just enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel and how sincerely we were treated. Would highly recommend this for a stay in Santorini!
The staff were really helpful, checked me in as early as possible, gave me recommendations and organised my airport transfer. The hotel itself was beautiful (the classic white buildings of Santorini decor) with an amazing location, the pool had a gorgeous view. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed. I had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay right in the heart of Fira with the main square less than 10 minutes down the road
This was our first time visiting Santorini Greece. we absolutely loved it and the location of the hotel was perfect. extremely clean rooms, breakfast was delicious, and management was very caring and always willing to help with directions, or where to go, where to eat, or just want to do. The tub in the bathroom was a little cold but don’t miss out definitely use it. The view is spectacular so calming. I would definitely recommend a stay at Doukas Caldera Suites!
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Santorini. Lila, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and in giving advice about what to do and where to go around Santorini. The hotel is in a great location very close to the central part of Fira, but on a quiet street away from the noise. We were able to take the local bus for any activity in a different part of the island. The room was huge and looked great.
Great value for money, family run hotel with everything you need for a budget visit to Santorini. Clean and basic rooms with decent sized terrace. Range of paid breakfast options, nice pool area, excellent free regular shuttle bus service into Fira until late at night. Nice quiet location close to beach, beach bar and little harbour. Drinks and takeaway food ordering service available from friendly reception. Great value. Perfect for Santorini on a budget.
Excellent service, breakfast was large with many options. Despina was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, activities and transportation. Wonderful location close to cable car and center of Santorini. Great spot to begin Fira to Oia walking trail, easy to bring bus back to Santorini bus station about 10 minute walk to hotel,
The pool was very refreshing. Great view of
old port and Caldera. Would stay again.
The Property is a top notch in cleanliness! The location is centre of Fira which is very convenient to get around to different parts of santorini. Most important thing is how Maria takes care of all her guests. She is one of a kind. Excellent customer service we’ve ever experienced. Been so many hotels, suites, and apartments but she is the only one who show her dedication to her career. Thank you Maria! ♥️
Clean spacious room. Exceeded our expectation. Free coffee & tea all day long at hotel reception area. Hotel location is near Fira bus station. Can easily take bus from Santorini airport to this Fira train station & then walk to the hotel & apartments. Also convenient to take bus from Fira to the ferry port. We took the 9a.m. bus from Fira to the port & took the 10.10a.m. ferry to Mykonos easily.
Location was quite convenient, close to the centre of Thira, buses, restaurants (the taverna next to the hotel is great), a great bakery. It's a bit old and would need restoration but it was a nice stay. Complementary water in the fridge as I came unprepared thinking tap water is drinkable in Santorini like in continental Greece. The staff is super nice. Drying rack on the balcony.
We LOVED the hotel, mainly for their unbelievalbly hospitable staff. The pool was nice, and the breakfast was very good. The rooms, for a beach hotel, were excellent. Not luxury but really nice. And the hotel is a short walk to Fira, in the centre of Santorini (Thira). The staff, I can't sing their praise enough. Truly exceptional and especially Elpida. Just the best!
View from this hotel is amazing, directly into the caldera and sunset. The hotel is kept immaculate. Well located in Fira near to shopping sheets and main bus station that leads to other areas of Santorini. The service is superb. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. Marirena, Kevin, all other stuff were so very helpful in every way.
The hotel is located in the center of Fira and close to bus station so its ideal to explore the city and the whole amazing island of Santorini ! The rooms are modern and so cozy including the necessary equipment , also are so so clean with comfortable beds and bedding !Stuff was really polite , warm and helpful .
The pool area! Quiet and just outside the busy part of Fira. Only a short walk into town with lots of great restaurants, bakeries and cafes nearby. The best gyro in Santorini is at the bottom of the driveway - Golden Grill Santorini.
You cannot beat the view from this hotel!! Angela and Vicky were awesome and helped us navigate Santorini! Unit was comfortable -good ac and beds comfortable!
