Wednesdays in April are not good when wanting a decent evening meal, very little choice but Friday night much better as everyone was open. Merizzi by the station on the corner of the main road does fantastic good.

Tirano was a lovely little town.
Tirano was a lovely little town. Quaint streets and alleyways called to be explored. Unfortunately very poor communication about no train service meant we missed connecting trains which cost us additional money.

We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town.
We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. I would recommend a day in Tirano, to get to know the town.

What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed!
You can take an open panoramic car on the train in July and August: https://www.rhb.ch/en/leisure-travel-and-excursions/groups-schools/charter-carriages/open-scenic-carriages
Ultra modern hotel. About a 10 min walk from train station, in a great location. They give you these great aluminum water bottles as a gift…very nice! We were able to check in while there was someone at desk…apparent,y that’s only between 5-7pm. Otherwise, you’re given a code for outside door and they leave your room key sitting on the front desk with your name on it!! How can this be safe? If I was a female traveling alone, I’d be having a fit over this.
This was exactly what my family and I were hoping for! The host was overly sweet and accommodating. The apartment was so quaint and charming which was exactly what we wanted to experience. It was extremely clean and cozy, with french doors to an outside patio off the kitchen and living room. The views were gorgeous and it was only about a 5-10 minute walk to the train station and the beautiful town of Tirano! We'd definitely go back again. Amazing!!
If you want a clean, contemporary, comfortable place to stay in the old part of Tirano, look no further. This property checks all of the boxes. And great air-conditioning as well!! An easy walk from the train station for those who depend on public transportation. Good breakfast with a variety of offerings, and a gregarious hostess who aims to please. Finally, excellent selection of restaurants nearby.
This b&b was more than we expected.Really nice modern large room, newly furnished in good taste, comfortable bed.A lot of charging outlets. The breakfast was good and our host Elena ,was very helpful.!! Good value for money..Only 6 min away from the train station where you can catch the Bernina Train and it was situated in the quaint old town.We highly recommend you stay here while in Tirano.
Good value. It's a small town and this location is 5min walk from the train station. Off the main street so it's quiet but with easy access to restaurants and grocery store. Breakfast was good - mostly cakes and sweets. Room was comfortable. Coffee was good. Service was pleasant. Good for a night stay when visiting Tirano
The hotel was in a perfect location for an overnight stay if arriving and departing from the train station. We had a lovely meal in the owners restaurant Merizzi and an excellent breakfast was served at their other restaurant Liberty. We enjoyed an interesting walk around the old town of Tirano.
This hotel is a real gem, the pictures do not show the full extent of this hotels charm. The hotel has so much architecture yet finished to a very high standard with a very modern twist. The staff could not have been more helpful or freindly. short walk from the train station.
Chose this hotel for a 2 night stay on a motorcycle tour for it's secure garage for motorcycle storage and proximity to Tirano station for the Bernina Express. Superb range for breakfast and friendly staff. Stayed in single room 6 which had a balcony overlooking the church.
Less than ten minute walk from station and old town.
Very friendly owner / staff.
Small but adequate, clean room.
Easy check in / out.
Not directly liked to the hotel but l would add that the train journey from Chur to Tirano was astounding!
Spacious and clean apartment, kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Bathroom was newly renovated, great shower! Large balcony. Location was great, just a short walk from the train station. Hosts were kind and friendly. Easy check-in.
The room was really well distributed. They offered bedrooms for one people, which in our case was really necessary. Breakfast was abundant and it was cheap. The hotel is in a good location, just 5 minutes away of the train station.
Modern, clean, comfortable and with everything we needed provided in the flat. Host was very helpful with tips on where to go in Tirano. Great location within easy walk to train station and everything else in town.
This is authentic Italy. Simple, spotless room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well appointed. We felt like we were staying in a home, not a hotel. Very comfortable.
Lovely hostess, lovely family apartment. Everything clean. Easily walking distance to restaurants and walking distance close to the train station! Good breakfast. Highly recommend to families!
